Bob L. Oltmanns

Bob L. Oltmanns, 84, of Moundridge, KS, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28, 2020, at Pine Village, Moundridge. He was retired from Moridge Manufacturing, Inc. where he was a grain dryer assembler and final tester for Grasshopper lawn mowers.

He served in the United States Army from 1958 to 1960.

Bob was born on November 9, 1935, in Moundridge, KS, the son of John Henry and Daisey E. (Wylie) Oltmanns. He graduated from Moundridge High School in 1953. On December 31, 1971, Bob was united in marriage to Ruth E. (McClaflin) Allenbach at the First Baptist Church, McPherson.

Survivors include: his loving wife, Ruth of the home; four step-children, Michael Allenbach (Cindy) of Inman, KS, Keith Allenbach (Shelly) of Moundridge, KS, Brenda Allenbach of Moundridge, KS, and Chrystle Swanson (Jim Gehring) of Edmond, OK; two siblings, John Oltmanns (Pat) of Wichita, KS and Ann Storer of Moundridge, KS; brother-in-law, Bill Silverstrand of McPherson, KS; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Jean Silverstand, brother-in-law, Jim Storer; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, October 10, 2020, at Mound Township Cemetery, Moundridge.
