Billie R. Becker

Billie Richerlee Becker, 93, of McPherson, KS, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 3, 2018, surrounded by her family at her home in McPherson. She retired from McPherson College where she worked many years.

Billie was born on September 16, 1924, in Livingston, TX, the daughter of Charles and Peggy (Wedel) Sutton. She graduated from Windom High School in Windom, KS. Billie was united in marriage to Donald Richard Becker on November 1, 1947, in Moundridge, KS. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1989.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in McPherson where belonged to the Fidelis Sunday School Class.

Survivors include: four children, Eldon Becker of McPherson, KS, Jeanene (Mark) Krogh of Randolph, VA, Darrell (Shelley) Becker of Coffeyville, KS, and Sandra Thomas of McPherson, KS; 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Bontrager, Jamie (Jared) Hammel, Danielle Thomas, Kelsey Thomas, Scott (Emily) Krogh, Matt (Juliann) Krogh, Jaclyn Krogh, Jacob (Chelsie) Becker, Joel (Lauren) Becker, Abbey (Jeff) Yates, and Daniel (Sue) Clay; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; a brother; a half-brother; and a half-sister.

Visitation will be from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family receiving friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at McPherson Cemetery.
