Bill Peterson

Bill G. Peterson, 81, of McPherson, passed away on Monday, February 22, 2010, at the McPherson Care Center. He was a heavy equipment operator for the McPherson County Highway Dept. and also was the owner and operator of J&B Construction Co. in Kimberling City, Missouri.

Bill was born on June 4, 1928, in McPherson, Kansas, the son of Ephriam Franklin and Cora Gladys (Lindquist) Peterson. On July 11, 1948, Bill was united in marriage to Helen A. Fehr in Lindsborg, Kansas.

Bill was a charter member of the Kimberling City Methodist Church in Kimberling City, Missouri.

The funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 27, 2010, at Stockham Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery, Lindsborg. Visitation is from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, Friday, at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Survivors include: his wife, Helen Peterson of McPherson; daughter, Shari Edgell of Rogers, AR; sons, Brad Peterson and wife, Sharon, of Lansing, KS and Scott Peterson and wife, Louie, of McPherson, KS; brother, Gary Peterson and wife, LaVonna, of McPherson; sisters, Grace Kenny of Wasco, OR and Mary Ann Walter and husband, Duane, of McPherson; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Duane, and a sister, Doris Schaff.
