Betty Chandler

Betty Ann Chandler, 68, of Marquette, KS and formerly of Ulysses, KS and Guymon, OK, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at her home in Marquette. She was a retired retail store clerk.

Betty was born on August 17, 1941, in Shattuck, OK, the daughter of Allen Benjamin and Opal Lee (Robbins) Herring. She graduated from high school in Reydon, OK. On May 26, 1956, she was united in marriage to Jack A. Chandler in Wheeler, TX.

The memorial service will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 12, 2010, at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Karen Rice Ratzlaff officiating. Following the memorial service, a reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall at the church. The cremains will be inurned at the Zybock Cemetery in Allison, TX at a later date.

Survivors include: her husband, Jack of the home; sons, Gary Chandler (Tami) of Ness City, KS and Scott Chandler (Angela) of Wichita, KS; daughters, Tammy Hawk (Kyle) of McPherson, KS and Brandy Thomas of Dodge City, KS; sister, Mary Lee Snell of Amarillo, TX; and eleven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sons, Jackie Allen and Richard Dean, and two sisters, Barbara and Brenda.
