Ben Thiessen

Ben E. Thiessen, 96, of Inman, died Saturday, November 3, 2007, at Pleasant View Home in Inman. He was the former owner/operator of the Ben Thiessen Garage at Inman and retired from Cessna in Hutchinson, where he worked as a machinist.

The memorial service will be at 3:00 PM, Thursday, Nov. 8, at Eden Mennonite Church, Moundridge. Interment will precede the memorial service at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.

Survivors include: two daughters, Cheryl Stockham of Bennington, KS and Jolene Alonso of Fort Worth, TX; a brother, Paul Thiessen of Inman; two sisters, Hulda Plett of Augusta, KS and Laura Ramsay of Glendale, CA; two grandchildren,Cassie Stockham and Paige Stockham, both of Bennington, KS; and two step-grandchildren, Geoffrey Alonso of Topeka, KS and Erin Alonso of Lawrence, KS.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth who died May 21, 2006, a brother, John Thiessen, and four sisters, Mary Goering, Margaret Neufeldt, Kathryn Grote, and Velma Franz.
