Ardath Trine

Ardath B. Trine, 91, passed away Friday, March 4, 2011, at her home in McPherson.

She was born June 22, 1919 in Coalinga, California, the daughter of Frank and Leah (Small) Bare. She had been a McPherson resident since 1983, and was a former technical editor for the Boeing Company and also worked as a special assistant for Dr. Peter Lim at the Stanford Research institute.

Survivors include: a son, Phil Trine of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Diane Ferguson (Steven) of Hillsboro, OR; a brother, Harold Bare of Waco, TX; a sister, Frances King of McPherson, KS; two grandchildren, Adam Ferguson of Tulsa, OK and Leah Ferguson (Jack Jia) of Hillsboro, OR; and a great-granddaughter, Lily Jia of Hillsboro, OR.

She was preceded in death by a son, William Trine.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 14, at First United Methodist Church. There will be no visitation. Final disposition of the cremains will take place at a later date.
