Ann Marie Victoria (Peterson) Wallerstedt, 98, of McPherson, died Friday, March 11, 2005, at The Cedars Health Care Center. She had worked as a clerk at Raleigh's Drug Store, managed the Peter Pan Ice Cream Store, and was a hostess at Lem's Restaurant. She had been a McPherson resident since 1936.
She was born October 10, 1906, in Lindsborg, KS and was baptized on November 6, 1906, at Bethany Lutheran Church, Lindsborg. She married Ted Wallerstedt on July 31, 1929.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the Women's Missionary Society, Altar Guild, and was a Charter Member of the Wednesday Study Club.
A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church, McPherson. Committal service will be in the Elmwood Cemetery in Lindsborg at 9:30 AM. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at Stockham Family Funeral Home with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
She is survived by daughters, T-Ann Kerschner and her husband, Cliff, of McPherson, KS, and Janis Ball and her husband, Leon, of Sabetha, KS; four grandchildren, Tonya Ann Kerschner of El Dorado, KS, Craig Kerschner of Seoul, South Korea, Brian Ball, and wife, Joy, of Kansas City, MO, Darwin Ball, and wife, Dana, of Overland Park, KS; three great-grandchildren, Darcey Jan Ball and Drew Ball of Overland Park, Kansas, and Alex Ball of Kansas City, MO; a sister, Verlie Wise of Idaho Falls, ID; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jacob N. and Sophia (Nelson) Peterson; husband Ted; brothers Don, Joe, Erwin, and George; sisters, Nathalia, Inez, and Helen; and granddaughters, Karen Gail Kerschner and Linda Jan Ball.
