Alma Penner

Alma Penner, 92, of Moundridge, passed away on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Moundridge Manor in Moundridge. She was a homemaker and former Inman resident.

On April 7, 1940, Alma was united in marriage to John N. Penner at Inman, KS. He died Feb. 7, 1996.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, August 4, at the Zion Church of God in Christ, Mennonite. Burial will be in the Zion Church Cemetery. Visitation, with the family receiving friends, will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the church.

Survivors include: a son, Eldon Penner, (Bonnie) of Porto Nacional, Tocantins, Brazil; two daughters, Marlys Wickey of Inman and Betty Martin (Daniel) of El Campo, TX; a brother, David Ensz of Paxton, NE; four sisters, Margaret Reimer of Moundridge, Viola Hiebert of Jamesport, MO, Mildred Friesen of Madrid, NE, and Gladys Koehn (Henry) of Paxton, NE; 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, John N. Penner; parents, Isaac K. and Elizabeth (Toews) Ensz; a son, Steven Ray Penner; a daughter, Alice Louise Penner; two brothers, Wilbert and Ben Ensz; and a sister, Rosella Penner.
