Alice G. (Pearson) Carlson, 99, of Lindsborg, KS, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Lindsborg Community Hospital. She was a homemaker, former school teacher, and pastor’s wife.
Alice was born on November 23, 1916, in Olsburg, KS, the daughter of Gustav Malker and Hilma Louise (Anderson) Pearson. She attended Bethany College, graduated from K-State, and attended San Jose State University.
On June 26, 1943, Alice was united in marriage to Perry August Carlson in Olsburg, KS. He preceded her in death on September 27, 2003.
She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Lindsborg.
Survivors include: two daughters, Martha Lefever (Scott) of Lancaster, PA and Louise Ehmke (Vance) of Healy, KS; six grandchildren, TJ Walker of Lancaster, PA, Todd Walker of Lancaster, PA, Cole Ehmke (Mariah) of Laramie, WY, Tanner Ehmke (Anne) of Denver, CO, Layton Ehmke (Jen) of Healy, KS, and Marit Ehmke (Jerry Gabrie) of Bozeman, MT; and six great-grandchildren.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and sister, Eleanor Nelson.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 8, at Messiah Lutheran Church in Lindsborg. Inurnment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.
