Afton M. Campbell

Afton Marie Campbell, 88, of McPherson, KS and formerly of Little River, KS, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2019, at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita, KS. She was a homemaker and had worked at the Little River Library and in the cafeteria for the Little River schools.

Afton was born on February 7, 1931, in Vernal, UT, the daughter of Clarence Betts and Helen Sibby (Webb) Freestone. She graduated from high school in Vernal, UT in 1949. Afton was united in marriage to George W. Campbell on November 22, 1948, in Casper, WY. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1996.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Little River.

Survivors include: two children, Donna L. Becker of McPherson, KS and Wade Campbell and wife, Dee Ann, of Little River, KS; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Roy Freestone and Ted Freestone, and step-brother, Kenneth Freestone.

A private graveside service will be held on Friday, May 24, 2019, at Bean Memorial Cemetery in Little River, KS.
